NAFDAC - Employment

NATIONAL AGENCY FOR FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION AND CONTROL
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Nigerians within and in the Diaspora to fill the following vacancies in National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).

1.0 DIRECTOR LABORATORY SERVICES [SALARY: CONTISS 15]
II QUALIFICATIONS:
* A good university first degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Microbiology or other related science disciplines.
* Possession of a higher degree in relevant fields and computer skill will be an added advantage.
III EXPERIENCE:
* Applicants must have at least 20 years cognate work experience.

2. DIRECTOR REGISTRATION & REGULATORY AFFAIRS [SALARY: CONTISS 15]
II. QUALIFICATIONS:
* A good university first degree in Pharmacy, Food Science, Biochemistry, Chemistry or other related science disciplines.
* Possession of a higher degree in relevant fields and computer skill will be an added advantage.
III. EXPERIENCE:
* Applicants must have at least 20 years cognate work experience.

3.0 REGULATORY OFFICERS

3.1 SENIOR REGULATORY OFFICER [SALARY: CONTISS 09]
II. QUALIFICATIONS:
*Candidate must possess a good degree in Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Chemistry or other related science disciplines.
* Possession of a higher degree in relevant fields and computer skill will be an added advantage.
III. EXPERIENCE:
* Applicants must have evidence of completion of internship programme as well as evidence of registration with the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria or at least 7 years cognate work experience.

3.2 REGULATORY OFFICER I [SALARY: CONTISS 08]
II QUALIFICATIONS:
* A good university first degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology or other related disciplines.
* Possession of a higher degree in relevant fields and computer skill will be an added advantage.
III EXPERIENCE:
* Applicants must have at least 3 years cognate work experience.

3.3 REGULATORY OFFICER [SALARY: CONTISS 07]
II QUALIFICATIONS:
* A good university first degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology or other related disciplines.
* Possession of a higher degree in relevant fields and computer skill will be an added advantage.
III EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have satisfactorily completed the one-year compulsory NYSC programme.

4.0 LEGAL OFFICERS [SALARY: CONTISS 08]

II QUALIFICATIONS:
* LLB/B.L. Possession of a higher degree in relevant fields and computer skill will be an added advantage.
III EXPERIENCE:
* Applicants must be legally qualified to practice as a Barrister & Solicitor in Nigeria.

5.0 LABORATORY TECHNOLOGISTS [SALARY: CONTISS 09]
5.1 SENIOR LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST [SALARY: CONTISS 09]
II QUALIFICATIONS:
* Candidate must possess a Higher National Diploma in relevant fields or Associate Institute at Science Technology or Higher National Certificate or B.Sc. Degree in Science Lab. Technology.
* Computer skill will be an added advantage.
III EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least 7 years cognate work experience.

5.2 LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST I [SALARY: CONTISS 07]
ii QUALIFICATIONS:
* Candidate must possess a Higher National Diploma in relevant fields or Associate Institute of Science Technology or Higher National Certificate or B.Sc. Degree in Science Lab. Technology.
* Computer skill will be an added advantage.
III EXPERIENCE:

5.3 LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST II [SALARY: CONTISS 07]
II QUALIFICATIONS:
* Candidate must possess a Higher National Diploma in relevant fields or Associate Institute of Science Technology or Higher National Certificate or B.Sc. Degree in
Science Lab. Technology.
* Computer skill will be an added advantage.

6.0 TECHNICAL OFFICERS [SALARY: CONTISS 07]
6.1 TECHNICAL OFFICER/INSTRUMENT ENGINEER [SALARY: CONTISS 07]
II QUALIFICATIONS:
* Candidate must possess a HND/B.Sc/M. Sc. in Chemical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution. Membership of relevant recognized professional bodies and computer skill would be an added advantage.
III EXPERIENCE:
* Applicants must have satisfactorily completed the one-year compulsory NYSC programme.

7.0 ACCOUNTING OFFICERS [SALARY: CONTISS 08]
7.1 ACCOUNTANT I [SALARY: CONTISS 08]
II QUALIFICATIONS:
* Candidate must possess a HND/B.Sc/M. Sc. in Accountancy.
* Membership of a recognized professional accounting body and computer skill will be an added advantage.
III EXPERIENCE:
* Applicants must have at least 5 years cognate work experience.

7.2 ACCOUNTANT II [SALARY: CONTISS 07]

* Candidate must possess good university first degree in Library Studies or Associate or Fellowship of a recognized institute of Librarians.

9.0 COMPUTER ANALYST [SALARY: CONTISS 07]

* Candidates must possess a good university first degree in Computer Science.
* Membership of a recognized professional body and computer skill will be an added advantage.

1). MANAGER, COMMUNITY INTERFACE DIVISION: (REF:MCID1)
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
* A University Degree in Development, Agricultural Economics, Cooperative Economy & Management, Public Administration or Social Sciences, with minimum of second class division plus a development related Masters degree
* A minimum of 10 years post graduation experience, of which at least 4 must be at managerial level
* A minimum of 6 years in the socioeconomic or rural development sector
* Strong verbal and written communication & intersectoral skills
* Ability to effectively interface with community groups, leaders and Local Government machinery
* Sound understanding of community level power gender and representation dynamics, especially as they relate to implementation of sustainable community projects
* Ideal Age; Between 38 - 45 years of age

2). MANAGER, DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME DIVISION: (MDPD2)
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
* A University Degree in Development, Agricultural Economics, Cooperatives, Public Administration or Social Sciences, with a minimum of second class upper division plus a relevant Masters degree
* A Minimum of 12 years post graduation experience, of which at least 6 must be at managerial level, preferably in a development Organisation or a local / international NGO
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Knowledge of IS based project management tracking
* Ideal Age: Between 38 - 45 years of age

3). MANAGER, COOPERATE SERVICE DIVISION: (MCSD3)
QUALIFICATION/SKILLS:
*A university degree in business administration or social sciences, with a minimum of second class upper division plus a relevant masters degree
* A minimum of 12 years post graduation experience, of which at least 4 must be at managerial level
* A minimum of 3 years in an administrative /support role in the development sector
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Good knowledge of IT systems
* Ideal Age: between 40- 50 years of age

4). MANAGER FINANCE DIVISION: (REF: MFD4)
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
* A University Degree in Economics Management, Business Administration, Accounting or any -related discipline with second class upper division
* Any of the following qualifications: FCA, ACA, CPA e.t.c.
* A minimum of 12 years post-graduation experience, of which at least 4 must be at managerial level
* A minimum of 3 years working in development or a similar sector
* Articulate with strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Quick thinking and calm when working under pressure
* Proficiency in the use of project management solutions
* Must be IT savvy
* Ideal Age; Between 38 - 45 years of age.

5). RESIDENT FIELD MANAGERS: (REF: RFM5)
QUALIFICATION/SKILLS:
* A university degree in business administration or social sciences, with a minimum of second class upper division plus a relevant masters degree
* A post graduate degree and community interface experience is an added advantage.
* 5 years post graduation experience in community level interface and networking
* Must posses strong and interpersonal skills
* Familiarity with grassroots mapping analysis tool e.g. PRA/PLA transect walks
* profound understanding of gender, age, poor, and socioeconomic differentiation at community level
* Ability to build trust and participation of communities and their key stake holders in programmes and project targeted at them
* Ideal age: Between 30-37 years of age.
