Job description :
As part of the Project Team the Umbilical yard representative will be Company’s representative on the Worksite reporting directly to the UFR Umbilicals Lead Engineer, he/she will also represent the COMPANY in the construction yard in accordance with the approved delegation of authority for the construction of umbilical associated hardware.

As part of the Project Team the successful candidate will perform the following duties:

1. Assist the Umbilicals lead engineer in managing the main UFR contractor with respect to all Umbilicals activities for design fabrication and installation.

2. Ensure that the level of supervision on site is sufficient to meet project specifications requirements.

3. Ensure proper liaison with the rest of the UFR organization to guaranty adequate coordination within the team for construction activities. Particular attention will be paid to liaise on a regular basis and as needed with the UFR HSE Engineer and the Systems Coordinators

4. Enforce sufficient reporting process for the worksite to facilitate prompt and effective decisions to be taken at the appropriate level within COMPANY organization in accordance with the DOA applicable on the project.

5. Prepare and maintain at Worksite a realtime status report of all deviations and non conformances concerning umbilical activities on site and propose critical issues to be resolved timely.

6. Enforce daily meetings and weekly progress meetings with Contractor and maintain regular communication with Contractor Site Representative

7. Follow the progress of the work performed on site and perform schedule monitoring along with the progress

8. Ensure the right level of quality on the worksite and work with Contractor to achieve project requirement with regards to QA

HSEQ responsibilities:

9. Support and enforce the HSEQ Project objectives and directives

10. Support and implement the Project HSEQ mgt. system (plans, procedures & specifications)
Required skills :
Education :
The successful candidate should have a HND degree or above equivalent in Mechanical, Marine/Ocean, Structural, or Civil engineering with a sound knowledge of construction & welding activities.
Experience :
The successful candidate must have at least 10 years professional experience in the design, manufacture, testing and installation of umbilical hardware for deepwater subsea development and a good experience in yard supervision,most preferably on a project in an oil and gas company. A good understanding of related aspects of subsea design, with experience in the offshore installation phase is an added advantage.

In addition,s/he is expected to:

- know all HSE requirements.
- have knowledge of QC/QA
- know the sequence of fabrication
- Must be familiar with testing.
