The Sheraton Lagos, Nigeria is looking for a dynamic Chief Engineer (Director Engineering). The hotel has 330 rooms and other F&B facilities (banquets/restaurants).
The Director of Engineering will be responsible for maintaining the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. Ensure the upkeep of guest areas to maintain an attractive hotel. As of 2009 the hotel will undergo a major re-up where the Dir. Engineering will be responsible for the overall coordination.
The Director of Engineering is a teamplayer who can lead a team of 70 associates reporting directly to him.

Qualifications

The Director Engineering has 3 - 5 years experience in a similar position in a similar sized hotel operation.

Position: Industrial Trainees

Industrial Trainees will have the ability to rotate to provide services in a variety of areas. Industrial Trainees will be placed in different departments according to business demands. We will try to expose the Industrial Trainees to all the departments in the hotel. This is a great opportunity to learn about the operations of the hotel industry.

Qualifications
Interested candidates must have completed National Diploma in any Nigerian Polytechnic, and have basic computer knowledge. Age bracket is between 18 and 26. candidates who must apply should have a National Diploma in the following areas; hotel and catering, accountancy, business administration, sales and marketing, secretariat studies, purchasing and supply, elect/elect engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering etc.

Clean guest Rooms in accordance with establilshed company, brand or hotel standards to allow a sufficient quantity of vacant and clean rooms. Clean occupied rooms. This is a temporary position to last approximately 3 months, with option of renewal.

Qualifications
Candidates must be eligible to work in Nigeria, have a minimum of WASC or GCE 'O' Level with five credits or maximum of an OND in any discipline, have strong communication skills (especially verbal) and has demonstrated the desire and ability to exceed guests' expectations. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including AM/PM, overnights, weekends, and holidays
