Ebonyi State Government is Recruiting.
Vacancies for enterprising Hands
The Ebonyi State Govt, in partnership with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has established a Businesss Support Centre (BSC) in the State Capital (Abakaliki) to facilitate rapid, efficient and sustainable development of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMES) sub-sector of the state. The centre will among other things, provide coaching, monitoring, counsel/advisory services as well as enterprise networking opportunities.

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified indigenes of Ebonyi State for the Following Positions:

Job Vacancies
a. Centre Manager (1 Position)
b. Assistant Centre Managers (2 Positions)
Job Responsibilities for centre manager
- Managing and running of the centre on a day-to-day basis, supervising all the Centre’s technical and Administrative activities.
- Regularly liasing with SMEDAN on the Centre’s programmes.
- Development and implementation of the appropriate plans and strategies to achieve the Centre’s objectives as well as the State’s overall MSME development targets.
- Where there are Business information Centres, to coordinate their activities within the context of MSME development at the grassroots.
- Identification and pursuit of funding opportunities from development partners, donors and other stakeholders (private and public) in support of the activities of the Centre.
- Establishment and implementation of M&E benchmarks for the Centre’s operations.
- Rendering of regular reports on the Centre’s activities.
Job Qualification and Experience Required for the Centre Manager
- A very good first degree in relevant discipline plus an MBA or any other relevant post-graduate-qualification in small business development.
- Minimum of years cognate experience.
- Must be an indigene of Ebonyi State.
- Have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and project management experience, including ability to set goals and lead a small team to achieve them.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Have a good knowledge of MSMEs sub-sector and robust skills for small business development.

Job Responsibilities and Qualifications of the Assistant Centre Manager.

- Assist the Centre Manager in performing the functions above.
- Same qualification as in Centre Manager with a minimum of three years experience.

Remuneration for Job: As Obtainable in the Federal Civil Service.
